Places to Visit in Devon - Canonteign Falls
"Dartmoor's highest waterfall, a must-see attraction in the Devon area"
Last April, the Family of Lochi had the opportunity to visit Canonteign Falls, Dartmoor’s highest waterfall. If you are visiting the Devon area and looking for places to visit in Devon, we highly recommend adding Canonteign waterfall to your family travel itinerary.
Canonteign Waterfall is about 70 meters tall and it’s part of the Canonteign Estate, which has a cool history dating back to the Victorian era. Originally, it was designed as a fancy garden, but now it’s a trendy spot for families with nature stuff and fun activities. The waterfall looks awesome, especially after it rains and the water is gushing down.
Around the waterfall, you can roam through beautiful forests, calm lakes, and well-kept gardens. The estate is home to the National Collection of Ferns, kept in the original Victorian fern garden, offering a cool learning experience for visitors of all ages. The mix of natural beauty and historical importance makes Canonteign Falls a charming place to visit.
